Evilswarm, if you're Malaysian you totally know what I'm talking about. Evilswarms are getting lots of attention lately in Malaysia (source: Digital Mortal, I'm not Malaysian), as such, lots of people started building and playing it. It's an easy guess, even as an Italian yugioh player, that Evilswarms will be considered part of the meta in a short time there in OCG-land, specifically Malaysia because of the different meta.
As I read about that, though, I remembered having an old list on my pc of Evilswarms. I like the entire 'lswarm archetype, I played those nasty steelswarms, too, when they were just released, and thus it was obvious I had one.
Let's start saying I NEVER saw another build of Evilswarms nor played against them before those last two days, so all I did was on my own and of course it was different from other builds. Said so:
I play a rabbit build, as I think everyone does since it looks like the most intelligent option right now. I play 6 vanilla monsters, 3 of those are obvious Heliotropes. I remember myself thinking while building that list that Sabersaurus would have been wonderful, since we're already going for the control route, so laggia/dolkka could just have been better. Even though, I decided to play 3 Archfiend Soldier. I didn't really remember why, but I continued reading my list and everything matched, in the end.
I did play some mandragos and thunderbird, and tour engine (now 2 tours, 1 sangan and 1 night assailant, but previously it was 3 tours and 1 sangan). Going on the spells I noticed what was off for sabersaurus: Dark Calling. 3 Dark Callings, not one. Seeing that I remember everything about the build.
I basically went for the control routes with Ophion and Thanatos, sometimes stealing opponent's monsters with Bahamut, and then, when we were late game, with few options left, I could have relied on Dark Calling on Gaia for giant beatsticks (sometimes 1900 Archfiend Soldier + 2600 Pearl, or 1950 Heliotropes + 2350 Thanatos, or 1900+1950 or 2600+2350). Dark Calling was either played late game, as a finisher, or early game, to attempt to some OTKs or giant damages to prevent your opponent's future Warnings on your key monsters.
I'm actually trying to perfectionate it, 'cause I'm liking it. I should check some builds online, but that wouldn't help because the gamestyle is way different.
See Ya.
P.s. in the tags there's the Verz tags. For those who don't know, Verz is the OCG name of Evilswarms, and since I already posted with that tag, I'd prefer to keep this one.

10.000 visits special #1: Chaos Contact
What's this?
Chaos Contact is a deck that uses Miracle Contact, along with Convert Contact, with Chaos monsters (too much "C"s), while summoning beatstick and recycling your monsters.
Given the part of the neo-spacian fusions that make them go back to the deck, you will recycle even them, while speeding-up your game with convert contact and recycling the monsters via miracle contact itself.
The deck does play Stratos too, since it can search for prisma, a great card in here. I play even double hero lives, since using it on stratos, searching and summoning prisma, sending neos/hummingbird with the other one in the grave, and miracle contact, will provide you a giant beatstick, air neos.
The chaos part is played thanks to convert contact. Sending glow moss and dark panther you'll have a perfect grave setup.
To speed-up things, we have cross porter. Send it to the grave, SS a neo-spacian from the hand and search another one, giving you the perfect set-up for miracle contact, too, as long as you have a neos in the grave or in hand (even on the field, but that's less likely). This way you'll be able to go into 3-material contact fusions, too.
Debris Dragon is a good card in here. Assuming that this banlist is the true one, we can use 2 debrises. Debris that summons cross porter to go into iron chain and then search a neo-spacian monster isn't bad, is it?
But that's not all, debris can go into R4 XYZs with the right monsters, but you're probalby thinking "who can be summoned via debris' effect that's lv4?". I'd say Batteryman AAA. The ones who knew that by my older post, raise an hand, here's a cookie for you. Batteryman AAA itself can go into easy R4, even ptolemys and gaia, but having 0 ATK will make him a good target for debris' effect, and thus going into a R4. A R4 that helps us a lot in here is pobably lavalval chain, since you can send that missing neos, that missing neo-spacian monster for the fusion you need.
The various possibilities that this deck has and the searchability of cards make this a toolbox deck. A reverse toolbox, to be precise. Send things you need to the grave to use 'em.
If you're wondering why this post should be a special, well, it is because I'll do a post per day for four/five days. Of course they'll need to be short, but, well, I like those, so I'll focus on them in the future. This deck will be reviewed properly after the banlist, since I need to test it kinda seriously.
Well, this was all. Stay Tuned.

Summoner of Infinity
Aka DS-Approved deck.
What's this? It's a deck I saw for the first time on Duelingdays (Baha and DS' Blog) in this post.
Once I saw the deck, I fell in love, and now it is an year and some month I'm playing it.
Now, with the release of Forbidden Garment/Shroud, the deck has gained lot of power.
Just think that before I summoned prety much onli Cyber End Dragon, Twin Dragon, and Gaia, it happened only (that I remember) 2 times to summon Barbaroid and 2 Exterio. I love Exterio, but here it was good only for 3000/4000 damages when the opponent has lots of backrows to be protected, or when you have 2 illusion on the field and want to OTK with twin, usually.
The reason why I summon mainly those 3 are because two are for OTKs, the other one stays on the field with his own effect, not being destroyed in the end phase via summoner. But what if Exterio wasn't able to be destroyed during that end phase?
I like to think that as a pure game, no matter what, expecially with some backrows. Just think of it as a ladd that negates multiple times in a chain without any real cost. Well, with Forbidden Shroud it's possible, and for that turn exterio won't be able to be targeted or destroyed by other cards, kinda awesome, isn't it?
Well, after those few credits, here's the actual decklist:

Well, after those few credits, here's the actual decklist:
Monsters: [21]
1 Black Luster Soldier - EotB
2 Black Salvo
1 Chaos Sorcerer
1 Dark Armed Dragon
2 Effect Veiler
2 Genex Ally Birdman
1 Genex Neutron
2 Meklord Army of Wisel
2 Meklord Emperor Wisel
1 Morphing Jar
2 Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter
1 Sangan
3 Summoner of Illusion
Spells: [11]
1 Allure of the Darkness
1 Book of Moon
1 Dark Hole
2 Enemy Controller
3 Forbidden Shroud
1 Heavy Storm
1 Limiter Removal
1 Monster Reborn
Traps: [8]
2 Call of the Haunted
3 Chaos Infinity
1 Solemn Judgment
2 Solemn Warning
Ok, so this is the decklist, the extra is kinda random, I should modify it. Fortress is in there since Cyber Dragon should be on the side, but I'm too lazy to build the side, lol. Substitute it if you aren't going to play with the side deck with a Genex Ally Triarm and you should be ok.
Why only 2 Salvo and 1 Neutron? I needed more space to put in those shroud and for some modifies I did as time passed, and that's the result. I'm fine with 2 Salvo since here we don't synchro too much, only BRD when we have wisel in hand or the karakuri synchro to flip our face-down monsters just set, but that's more occasional. Actually, I used it as a free birdman summon, NS Salvo, SS Wisel Army, bounce for birdman, XYZ. 1 Neutron is a searchef for both bird and salvo, but being they played only in 2 copies each, it should be good enough. You'll find him a good beater, as time passes.
Why only 2 enemy controller? Well, it's a good card to protect our monsters, good enought to be worth 2 slots, it isn't worth the third because of only 40 slots in the deck, and because Summoner+Enemy Controller combo doesn't work here in TCG. On Dueling Network TCG ruling are used, so, that's it.
Why 3 Shroud? If you're thinking this because of the fact it works only with exterio or other fusion, well, you're kinda wrong. Wisel Army is summoned via chaos infinity and then destroyed during the end phase, just let him live during the opponent turn to use him on your turn; Black Rose doesn't need to destroy herself/your boss monsters on the field, does she? Limiter Removal isn't just an ATK increaser for OTKs, could be used to save yourself from impossible situations, then, just let the monster live using shroud. So, 3 is awesome.
Why only 2 CotH? Well, not that the third is needed, but it is mainly because of slots.
Why no duradark? I didn't like it, that's all, inzektor goes into zenmaines during the end of the turn, wind-up does too, chaos dragon have probably won if they have redmd on the field, rabbit goes into laggia, dollka and leviair, nothing else.
Satisfied with the decklist? If you haven't, just try it, it's awesome, I believe you can easily take it to tournament if you have shroud yet (in that case you're an OCG player and I'd say you to play the third enemy controller in place of morphing jar, maybe).
I'm still deciding if to keep or drop Morphing Jar. That's because of the fact I don't fully like it. Yeah, it's true that this could be a really bad surprise for the opponent, that'll lose his full prepared hand, and drawing this after a WU loop is kinda lolly, but I still don't like it totally. But I'll keep it, I believe.
I still like the deck as the first day I saw it, so, thanks to Baha for the deck and DS for approvation, LOL.
Stay Tuned, Monday the new card of the week, still don't know which one I'll select, though.

Card of the Week #8: Constellar Ptolemys Messier 7
1.Summoning this card by overlaying it on an XYZ monster is considered a proper XYZ summon;
2.If this card is the only monster on the field, and there're no monsters in both grave, you can still use this card's effect and retrieve the detached monster;
3.If this card is summoned with its effect, and then you flip it face-down and then face-up, you can use its effect.
Explanations:
For the first one there isn't really an explanation, since it is clearly written in the text, more than an explanation there's a result for this. You'll be able to reborn this card with call of the haunted, monster reborn or even XYZ reborn.
The second one is really simple, Messier can bounce itself, nothing says he can't, and, how I said lotw of times, you need at least a valid target before you activate the effect, then you decide who's your target, in this case either messier or the material.
Third is the easiest one, it says "you cannot activate this card's effect the turn ecc...", if instead of "this card's effect" it had written "Constellar Ptolemys Messier 7, you wouldn't be able to do so.
I talked alot about this card in the past, haven't I? Let's see this card closely first:
-Constellar monster, got a lot of good supports, expecially because it is a Constellar XYZ, however those supports are to be played in Constellar Builds.
-LIGHT, we all know that LIGHT monsters are supported in a lot of ways, don't we?
-Machine, maybe one of its main weakness, could be used as material for chimeratech fortress, even if Machine got some good support, nothing special, though.
-"2 Level 6", generic XYZ summon, that's what makes this card great, monarchs, gishkis, LV6-abuse builds, and so on.
-Another way to XYZ summon it, got an effect that makes its summon easiest, you can XYZ summon this card by simply putting it on top of a Constellar XYZ monster, however the turn you do so, you won't be able to use its effect.
-Awesome stats, while you can understand at first catch why 2700 ATK is great, if you're a new player or a returning one, you won't easily understand why 2000 DEF is great, that's for Maestroke. Maestroke's effect flips it face-down, to attack it. That works with a lot of monsters, because monsters who have high ATK, won't have high DEF, while this card has both. Utopia itself can't run over this card, even pearl's atk isn't enough, Gaia won't run over it. The only one that can kill it are Zenmaines with his effect, and thus while taking some damages, acid golem, and thus while seriously limiting his owner's moves, and a combination of Maestroke and a monster with at least 2050 ATK, and it does need a lot of efforts for a deck that doesn't abuse of XYZs. Another monster that could get rid of it is God Dragon of Heliopolis, or something like that, don't fully remember his new name, the old one, though, was ennead, you all should remember him.
Sadly, still OCG-only. More pesonally speaking, this card is kinda awesome, generic XYZ summon, even a specific one by overlaying it over a Constellar XYZ. It got even an awesome effect, bounce monsters on the field, retrieve monsters in the grave. Not to talk about its great stats, which I talked about earlier.
I love this card in monarchs, Illusion Snatch does a great job in there, normal caius, use his broken effect (I believe his effect is one of the most brok in the entire game, only that being a tribute monster it isn't as broken as tour guide, but thinking of that if tour guide were a LV3 monster that required to be normal summoned a tribute, she would be pretty caius-like, theorically awesome effect, but when it comes in play, that -1 is for her normal summon isn't good), then SS Illusion Snatch, go into Ptolemys, recycle either Illusion Snatch or Caius (the one you don't want to risk to los, if you have another monarch in hand, I'd take Illusion Snatch, if I haven't I'd take caius to normal summon him when needed). Next turn, if Ptolemys is still there, take the remaining one, tribute it for caius, use his broken effect, SS Illusion Snatch, go into another Ptolemys, rinse and repeat 'till you win, lose or run out of Ptolemys.
This card is an awesome one in Gishkis, mainly Gishki Hieratic where it has a loop, discard Shadow, add AquaMirror, eff mirror, discard (or to be precise, tribute from hand) tefnuit, SS Gustkrake, see 2 cards, send 1 back, SS Wattdragon/Luster Dragon#2, XYZ Gustkrake and Luster Dragon#2 into Ptolemys, eff ptolemys, detach Gustkrake, add Shadow. Eff Mirror, return it to the deck, and take back Gustkrake, eff shadow, search again mirror. Rinse and repeat this too, till you run out of Hieratics/Ptolemys. If you draw into multiple copies of Shadow, for a turn you could retrieve a hieratic, in place of a shadow, that way you can make the loop stand one more turn.
Ptolemys gave birth to the XYZ Climb, which I talked about in the past, in this post. That's an easy way to summon what's needed, mainly this one for the next turn, or gaia to run over nasty reapers or cards like that. You could use XYZ Gift while doing the XYZ Climb, since you're not going to use all of the material. Let's say you draw into Batteryman AAA, SS another AAA, XYZ into Omega (2 XYZ material, at this point you could yet use Gift), Chaos XYZ Change into Ptolemys (if you haven't used it before, you could use gift now, because it has 3 material under it, right now), Chaos XYZ Chang einto Gaia (now you could use 2 Gifts, since it has 4 material, if you haven't used any before). However Gift has a nasty restriction, you need 2 XYZ monsters on the field, that's bad. However if you are doing the XYZ Climb you could do as in the post I linked, go into ptolemys, wait a turn and then do the XYZ Climb again, while having 2 XYZs on the field.
As said on the Ptolemys' tips page, you could use Future Fusion (you know how much I love this card, don't you?) to send 2 Gigaplants or Il Blud, SS one with Swing of Memories, Gemini Summon it, use its effect to SS anoter one from the grave, then go into ptolemys, use its effect to take back one of the materials.
Before continuing, you must know that when glow-up bulb and spore were banned, I was sad not for Plant Decks (or to be more precis, synchrocentric decks, since only few cards of the original plant deck were still there), but for GigaVise, one of the deck I loved. Well, they are replaceable in there, but no one will totally fill their place. However, with Copy Plant you'll be able to go into this card, send supervise to the grave and SS another gigaplant, while you can use ptolemys' effect to take back copy plant to NS it next turn and go into another R6, or, if you got another supervise, you can SS spore ang do immediately into a synchro or another R6, while triggering again Supervise.
Well, That's All Folks, while writing this, I had the urge to play GigaVise again, once I'll have a bit of time, I'll rebuild it, and then, if it works, I'll post it here.
P.s. want a little tip? As you could imagine from reading the link of this page, I initially wrote card of the week #7, in place of 8, that probably was because of ptolemys being "Messier 7", and, being not to concentrate, I wrote it like this.

1 Vanity's Emptiness
Uhm, well, can't say if this deck is awesome or not, I'll tell why later. However, another creation of mine, let's see the deck:
Ya all know Black Garden, don't you? The one who halves the ATK of a monster that is summoned to generate a token on the summoned monster's opponent's field with 800 ATK. Sadly pretty much everyone tends to forget that this card has another effect, you can blow-up it and all of the plants monsters on the field to summon a monster from your grave with the same ATK of the sum of the monsters' ATKs.
Now that you know this, let's see the main monsters:
Summoner Monk, generates combo, casually he's 800 ATK, he's the one that let all of your combo work;
Sacred Crane, when SSed lets you draw a card, casually it's 1600 ATK, 800x2, and lv 4, summonable with monk;
Genex Blastfan, when SSed lets you draw a genex DARK tuner (more specifically Birdman), casually it's 1600 ATK, 800x2, and lv4, summonable with monk;
Kuraz, when summoned, including SSed, you got to destroy up to two cards on the field, and let the controllers of those cards drawing a card for every card you destroyed them, casually 2400, 800x3.
I believe that all of those "casual" things could work together, couldn't they?
Even if Black Garden is the main card of the deck, I'd say, it isn't listed in the name, simply because I liked the name being Kuraz Geartown, and because the main win condition is gadjiltron.
2 Gadjiltron, not three because having 4 field spells which 3 of these are geartowns is a situation unlikely to happen, and since 3 aren't really needed, and they clog, 2 are good enough.
3 Effect Veiler are there to negate things en masse, stop meta decks like everyday's stuff and all of the decks that rely on monster's effects. Don't forget they're tuner, they won lots of games this way.
3 Birdman, searched with blastfan, provides a really easy arcanite, BRD, Ancient Fairy Dragon, Scrap Archfiend or whatever.
2 Malefic Cyber End Dragon, I know, if you have garden it will halve his ATK, and if you have a geartown you're hoping your opponent's going to destroy it, so it won't be good in most cases if you think of it like this. I think of it as a fast tribute for Kuraz, a token generator with garden and XYZ with gadjiltron (unlikely to happen, but still possible). Good Beater when needed, and punishes Skill Drain decks.
1 Sangan? What to say? Nothing at all, searcher for Monk, but that wasn't hard ot get, was it? At least you could search for Veiler.
2 Monk+2 Sacred Crane+3 Blastfan+2 Kuraz, monsters summonable with black garden, they all generates pluses. Monk, discard dead card, summon blastfan, search birdman, go into R4 XYZ/LV7 Synchro with Blastfan OR Monk into crane, draw 1, XYZ. Those two easy comboes if supported with Black Garden can lead to very good things. Let's suppose a first turn Monk+Black Garden+Pitchable Spell Card,
activate garden (yes, before monk)
NS monk, opponent gets a token
use monk's effect, SS Blastfan, Eff Blastfan, Opponent gets a token, Search Birdman
XYZ Blastfan and Monk into Lavalval Chain, opponent gets a token
Eff lavalval, send kuraz
Eff Garden, destroy the 3 tokens, 800x3=Kuraz (2400)
Kuraz's effect, destrsoy lavalval, draw 1
OR
You could use Crane in place of Blastfan, since Birdman isn't involved in the combo.
What happened? Let's see it in terms of pluses and minuses, activate Garden, NS monk, eff (-1), SS Crane (let's say crane, could be blastfan) (0), eff, draw (+1), XYZ into Lavalval (0), eff, get kuraz into the grave, eff garden, self-blow-up (-1), SS Kuraz (0), eff Kuraz, destroy Lavalval (-1), draw 1 (0).
Nothing changed in terms of advantages and disadvantages, but what really happened was us search for a birdman/draw a fresh card, getting a 2400 on the field, monk and blastfan/crane in the grave for more comboes and drawing another fresh card.
Obviously the comboes are a lot, this is a classic first turn move, but there are a lot of possibilities, including comboes in absence of Garden, by simply going into arcanite or other synchros lv7. The point of this deck is, then, getting more and more good cards without losing advantage.
Call of the Haunted is a +1 with Kuraz.
Call of the Haunted is a +1 with Kuraz.
Why is there Vanity's Emptiness? Once again, tech card, see this post for all of the explanation you like.
Extra, as always, is pretty random, that's a sample one, but not totally good, lol.
I did good results with this, however, as said initially, I don't know if this is awesome or not, since I rarely do real pluses in here, I wonder if I can really tell if I'm winning or not. It is fun to combo, but since you don't see giant pluses once the combo is finished you could end the turn disappointed.
Cyber End Dragon and Photon Thrasher are up to the player, depending on what you want. Actually, I prefer Cyber End Dragon, but Thrasher XYZs easy with other monsters.

Well, this was what I was talking about in the Geartown's post, I feel this deck has some good potentials, too.
Hope you liked the deck, That's All Folks, looking forward to the next post.

Speedy Concept: Ojama HEROes
Just a concept, I once had a build that worked good, but I no longer have it, and totally forgot how it was, lol.
Use Stratos to search Prisma. Prisma helps going into Ojama fusions, eventually locking opponent's monster zones. Then, you could Miracle Fusion them going into Shining. Or, instead, there's Junk next turn to do some jobs.
Basically use Ojamas with Junk Synchron to go into Frozen Fitgerald most of times, but even catastor, magical android and likes are a possibility.
Super polymerization, just like every HERO deck controls opponent's field, but what's more you can use it to fuse with your ojamas (obvious stuff) or your opponent's ojama tokens if you're using Ojama Trio. Other than this, you can discard for his cost, Ojamagic. Super Poly counters pretty much everything, expecialy Evolzars.
DARK from Junk and LIGHT from Ojamas, means chaos, Chaos Sorcerer and BLS say hi. If you're worrying for only 3 dark monster you could add others, but don't forget that Junk's searchable via Tuning.
King of the Swamp is a card I love in here, searches polymerization after an Ojamagic usually to fuse 'em, or is itself a material for ojama fusions or an AZ material, the thing you should love the most.
Ojama Country let us change opponent's and our's monsters' stats. Now most of the monsters with high ATK have low DEF, meaning your opponent'll have little monsters, while you'll have your 3000 Ojama King. The thing that really does matter in this deck of this card is its reborn ability, discard ojamagic, SS Ojama, search other 3.
Well, this was only a concept, maybe I'll come up with a build one of these days, depends on how much time I have.

Digital Mortal /// Speedy Fixes: Overdrive Monarch /// Hanoi's Tower
Digital Mortal: first of all I wanted to thank K'yde for naming me in the post regarding Gagaga Gunman, for my Gagaga FTK loop. I'll make a video to help lazy persons/persons that use mainly visual memory learning the combo. Check out his blog, Digital Mortal (even if a Shout Out of mine doesn't help at all, if someone stumbles in this article, make sure to check out his blog)
Overdrive Monarch: Ufficial name is Overdrive Monarch now. Just a couple of little fixes on the deck of the previous post.
I added Miracle Synchro Fusion, if you know how to use it, it won't even conflict with Treeborn if you decide to set it.
In exchange I took out a Tragoedia. Then I took out another Tragoedia (I really don't like it, it's pretty unuseful) for a Creature Swap, I used it the most to open bricks in giant wall with cards like Zenmaines with Treeborn Frog.
In the Extra I took out Leviair and Leviathan (sad choice, but I was never palying them since they didn't helped comboeing with Cleric) for a BRD (which I felt the need a lot of times) and, of course, Ultimate Axon Kicker for Miracle Synchro Fusion. It won me games and games.
Hanoi's Tower: I tried it yesterday night at a friend of mine's house, I used all of the 12 rings and I won. Just random thing, it was a revenge over a friend that said that without the manual to learn how it should be cleared, I wouldn't be able to solve it.
Nothing more.

Toolbox: Main, Extra, Reverse and Banished
What's Toolbox? Why does more kind of it exist?
Well, basically Toolbox is the name we give to a deck that can search a specific monster or card when needed. These decks are called "Toolbox" because, like a box full of tools, you can pick what you need.
The ultimate Toolbox is, for sure, Gladiator Beasts, they attack, then tag out and SS the monster the need, Laquari if they need a Beatstick, Retiari if they need to banish an opponent's card in the grave, murmillo if they need to destroy an opponent's monster, Bestiari if they need to destroy an opponent's S/T and so on, based on which card you're playing. You can even summon specific monster material this way, if you have 2 GBs and you want to destroy multiple cards, you can tag out into bestiari, destroy a card, maybe with the other one you SS murmillo, destroy an opponent's monster, then go into Gyzaurus e destroy other cards.
Basically GBs are a perfect example of Main Toolbox, but even Extra Toolbox, since they can Summon what they need both from the Main and the Extra Deck.
Until now we talked about Main and Extra Toolbox, but what are Reverse and Banished Toolbox?
Let's use examples again:
Yeah, Infernity, those are the Ultimate Reverse Toolbox, they send everything to the grave, and then summon what they need to start comboeing. However they can do even pretty good Main Toolbox with Archfiend that searches everything, but even an awesome Extra Toolbox, they can synchro or XYZ in what they need like hell, go into HED if you want to search more ABCs (Awesome Backrow Card, I wrote it in infernities-related posts), go into void if you want more control, go into Doom Dragon if you want to kill opponent's monster, go intoTrishula (no more sadly) Wurm to control more the opponent and prepare for an OTK, you can recruit pretty much anything from the extra deck like that.
Now let's arrive to the Banished Toolbox, it isn't used, I don't think a real Banished Toolbox Deck exists, but since it is a game zone, it's needed.
Cards like Dimensional Alchemist, Return from the Different Dimension, Escape from the Dark Dimension, D.D. Survivor, D.D. Scout Plane and other cards like this provide Toolbox from an "untouchable" zone, untouchable cause there aren't card (played right now) that affects opponent's RFG, if not in a good way. These cards combo well with cards that self remove themself, like D.D. Warrior Lady or Battle Fader, Cyber Valley is one of the most useful, too.
However, let's come back to Extra Toolbox. I wrote this post because I wanted to talk about this.
You know why before GBs there was no extra toolbox? Because to Fusion Summon you needed Polymerization, that meant that you were no more relying on your monsters, but even on a one-use spell card, and materials were specific, too. That meant that if your opponent knows your deck, you would be pretty predictable and your opponent could have prepared something to counter you.
GBs were the first to create an Extra Deck Toolbox (even the first Main Toolbox that didn't rely on recruiters like giant rat, shining angel and so on) because they had a wide range of monster they could have summoned by tagging out, destroy opponent's threat and then go in what you need.
Then Synchros came out, they needed only monsters and with the same two monsters (let's say junk synchron and armageddon knight) they could have done a wide range of monsters basing on what they needed. For this exact reason player at the start weren't fully happy about Synchros, because they weren't a lot and thus predictable. Initially you could have done only few level 7 monsters, then other monsters started appearing and then they became a lot, requiring you to build wisely your extra deck, since the 15-cards limit was applied. Then XYZ came out, same thing of Synchros, only that now we have 2 kind of generic monsters we can easily summon, in a strict deck (15, I'm talking of the extra deck, of course), but even if it's hard to put in what we need, we created a full generic Extra Toolbox that could fit in every deck.
However Extra Toolbox is awesome because of the fact that most Synchros/XYZ have main-deck-cards-like effect, let's say Laggia, he is surely easy to summon in a proper deck than drawing, setting and hoping to be not MST'd/Heavy Storm'd, while having a big body too. Same goes for Daigusto Emeral, can be used twice, one in this turn, one in the other, has another effect and putting back 3 is not ever a bad side (it's easiest to have 3 monster instead of 5), and being generic is easiest to be summoned, too. This is another reason why Gagaga Gunman is broken, because having 2 effects, one makes him 3000 ATK while attacking an opponent's monster, the other one is an Ookazi effect that can be used whenever you need it, surely easiest to summon than to draw into Ookazi. More it has a good defense body, meaning that he can protect our life points as well.
That's All Folks, I hope it was clear, this was to explain basically why Extra Deck became broken, but even to explain new players what's toolbox, since it was a kind of deck really used a lot time ago, before they started playing if they are new to the game.
See Ya

Cyberdarks
Cyberdarks are an archetype used by Zane Trusdale in the anime, they are DARK and Machine (you could have guessed that by the name, LOL), but they have no direct synergy, except that for the fusion monster, because they work mainly with the dragon monster.
There are 4 Cyberdark monsters, Cyberdark Horn, Cyberdark Edge and Cyberdark Keel, plus a fusion monster, Cyberdark Dragon. All of them have an effect in common: When this card is Normal Summoned, select 1 level 3 or lower Dragon-type monster from your grave and equip it to this card. This card gains ATK equal to the equipped card's ATK. [...] If this card would be destroyed by battle, the equipped monster is destroyed instead.
The only one that has some differences is Cyberdark Dragon, given that you can equip a dragon-type monster no matter of his level. On their own they are pretty weak, simply a veiler or a fiendish chain can kill 'em, and if you can successfully use their effect, you won't gain big advantages, except a monster with 2300 ATK more or less. So what is the best way to use them? With monster that have their effect while equipped. Don't even ask, the first one you think of are Dragunities.
You can NS Horn, equip Phalanx, SS Phalanx and go into brionac, gaia or some other level 6 synchros, or go into aklys, gain a respectable 1000 boost, reaching 1800, and when the cyberdark monster should be destroyed, you can destroy aklys and an opponent's card.
But this isn't that good, you could have used dragunities monster using their own "riders" and you could have synchro climbed, too, so what is the point in using them? Well, for fun is an obvious response, but there are other reasons. Dark Simorgh. Yeah, lockdown opponent's traps isn't that bad and he is really easily summonable in here. You can use a Cyberdark monster and phalanx to go into brionac, bounce nasty things or use him as a bait for bottomless and solemn, then summon dark simorgh using the two materials.
They are level 4, DARK and machine, you can easily think of black salvo to go into easy level 7 synchros. You can send them to the grave with the combo future-zephy-plague-brionac, but you should build a pretty random deck with some dragunities, cyberdars, blakwings, zombie and heroes, pretty strange, isn't it?
You can easily use Deck Devastation Virus to control the opponent, too.
Overall: deck isn't good, but for sure it is fun. If it would be playable in some meta, well, it isn't in this for sure. Aside that, it is really funny.

Card of the Week #1: Future Fusion
First of all, introduction to this kind of post. I'll post one of these once a week, on monday, if I can't on monday, i'll do that on sunday, rarely on tuesday. This is created to help posting some contents on the blog even when I've no ideas about decks. I won't anymore talk about random cards during the week, I'll do that only in the "Card of the Week" label, this will let me not to run off of ideas.
I'll talk about some underrated cards, known and played cards to help newbies understand better how to use them and other comboes less-known with those cards, known cards but not used, side deck cards and so on.
Let's start this.
Random rulings:
Dimension Fortress Weapon: “Future Fusion” cannot be activated while “Dimension Fortress Weapon” is on the field. If “Future Fusion” is activated, and “Dimension Fortress Weapon” is Summoned in a chain, the effect of “Future Fusion” is not applied, no monsters are sent to the Graveyard, no Fusion Monster is Special Summoned, and “Future Fusion” remains on the field meaninglessly.
Pot of Duality: You can activate Pot of Duality and Future Fusion during the same turn.
On wikia this wasn't written in the TCG section, but all of the player know this, "send material to the graveyard isn't cost, it is effect". Yeah, MST.
Now, why am I talking about this card? Because I love this. It is one of the most broken and still alive cards that exists, and I'm going to introduce this to new players and add something to veteran's mind.
Right now future fusion is mostly used in Chaos Dragons, send monsters to the grave and feed all of your Chaos monsters. To do this you'll need a Five Headed Dragon in the extra deck and 5 monsters to send for this card's effect. But, ya know, I hate to talk about obvious things, I prefer less-known uses for really known cards. Another use of this card is seen in HEROes, this card, in facts, was born for that deck, but we use that in another way: this fills the grave with random HEROes by using Zephyrus.
Basically:
I'll talk about some underrated cards, known and played cards to help newbies understand better how to use them and other comboes less-known with those cards, known cards but not used, side deck cards and so on.
Let's start this.
Reveal 1 Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck and send, from your Main
Deck to the Graveyard, the Fusion Material Monsters that are listed on
that Fusion Monster Card. During your 2nd Standby Phase after this
card's activation, Special Summon 1 of that Fusion Monster from your
Extra Deck and target it with this card. (This Special Summon is treated
a Fusion Summon.) When this card leaves the field, destroy that target.
When that target is destroyed, destroy this card.

Basically:
Activate Future, reveal Escuridao (too bad he isn't TCG legal),
send random Elemental HERO+Zephyrus;
Use Zephyrus effect, bounce Future, take 400 damages and summon zephy;
Activate again and send two monsters you like to the grave.
Sometimes you can send with the second Future Fusion a Plaguespreader and a random HERO,
SS back Plague, Synchro into Brionac and do what the fuck do you want.
This combo led to the 1-Card-Pennington's-FTK
Too bad this is no more playable, even if I think that some other way to play will appear, expecially with Malicious+Brionac or another random Level 6 monster into Ptolemys. This was the first version of the deck and the combo, he worked alot on that deck and he saw that killed by the banned list, too bad, I feel bad for him, I know how does one feel when things like this happens.
This card can be used in a lot of deck, however, from decks who need Chaos Materials in the grave, to the ones that need to thin the deck, and the ones that use this card as Win Condition. I think that everyone tried thing like this at least one time, no matter if he/she reached the goal or not, but for sure he/she tried building a deck with monsters like Worm Zero or Chimeratech to summon giant beatstick, expecially with chimeratech and Overload Fusion.
If you watched the video above directly in youtube page, there was a troll video from Pennington himself who said that there was an FTK combo with Future Fusion and Tour Bus in a 7 minutes video, but after 1 minute the screen became blank with a black background and some text started to appear, where he says that he's developing that idea, but he succeded into nothing till now.
I think I'll try doing something too, because I think that bus is a viable card to help this FTK in some way. Don't know how to use it, but there should be a way.
Other than crazy comboes and FTKs, this card is useful even when using its real effect, target something, wait and summon a beatstick. Not bad.
Think this was all, didn't want to write a lot because long text are boring to read, and then I tried to summarize all in a relatively short text. ( I hope this is a good use of the word summarize, it sounds bad to me, but from what Google Translate says, this is okay)
Well, this was all, Stay Tuned, I could come up with something new in these days, but that could be hard, given that I have a lot of homeworks and boring things to study.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm writing this the day after I posted this all
Just now I noticed that I wrote Zephyrus a lot of times instead of saying Zephyros, strange
