Evilswarm, Tests and Builds

Evilswarm, if you're Malaysian you totally know what I'm talking about. Evilswarms are getting lots of attention lately in Malaysia (source: Digital Mortal, I'm not Malaysian), as such, lots of people started building and playing it. It's an easy guess, even as an Italian yugioh player, that Evilswarms will be considered part of the meta in a short time there in OCG-land, specifically Malaysia because of the different meta.
As I read about that, though, I remembered having an old list on my pc of Evilswarms. I like the entire 'lswarm archetype, I played those nasty steelswarms, too, when they were just released, and thus it was obvious I had one.
Let's start saying I NEVER saw another build of Evilswarms nor played against them before those last two days, so all I did was on my own and of course it was different from other builds. Said so:
I play a rabbit build, as I think everyone does since it looks like the most intelligent option right now. I play 6 vanilla monsters, 3 of those are obvious Heliotropes. I remember myself thinking while building that list that Sabersaurus would have been wonderful, since we're already going for the control route, so laggia/dolkka could just have been better. Even though, I decided to play 3 Archfiend Soldier. I didn't really remember why, but I continued reading my list and everything matched, in the end.
I did play some mandragos and thunderbird, and tour engine (now 2 tours, 1 sangan and 1 night assailant, but previously it was 3 tours and 1 sangan). Going on the spells I noticed what was off for sabersaurus: Dark Calling. 3 Dark Callings, not one. Seeing that I remember everything about the build.
I basically went for the control routes with Ophion and Thanatos, sometimes stealing opponent's monsters with Bahamut, and then, when we were late game, with few options left, I could have relied on Dark Calling on Gaia for giant beatsticks (sometimes 1900 Archfiend Soldier + 2600 Pearl, or 1950 Heliotropes + 2350 Thanatos, or 1900+1950 or 2600+2350). Dark Calling was either played late game, as a finisher, or early game, to attempt to some OTKs or giant damages to prevent your opponent's future Warnings on your key monsters.
I'm actually trying to perfectionate it, 'cause I'm liking it. I should check some builds online, but that wouldn't help because the gamestyle is way different.

See Ya.

P.s. in the tags there's the Verz tags. For those who don't know, Verz is the OCG name of Evilswarms, and since I already posted with that tag, I'd prefer to keep this one.

Card of the Week #18: Wind-Up Rabbit

During either player's turn: You can target 1 "Wind-Up" monster you control; banish it until your next Standby Phase. This effect can be used only once while this card is face-up on the field.
Yeah, mainstream card, but there's a reason. Some rulings, first:
This card can banish itself.
This card is RETURNED on the field, not special summoned.
This card's effect is SS2, so you can chain it to cards like dark hole or trap hole.

Nothing to explain, just that they all show why this card is awesome.

Let's take a close look:
Wind-Up, great archetype we've got, with tons of supports.
EARTH, yeah, yet other supports.
LV3, more and more uses.
Beast-Warrior, Horn-friendly.
Stats, 1400 ATK, goes under BTH, but that doesn't matter since this card could avoid it anyway, but <1500 ATK is a key for cards like Giant Rat. 600 DEF, low, but you won't use this, anyway.

So, why am I reviewing such a mainstream card? You know I tend to hate mainstream things, but this one is different: I fell in love with it.
Basically, I started using this in madolches because it was a LV3 monster that stayed for looong time on the field that could have go into invoker with mew (that summoned a Gelato from the hand to get a search), SS another gelato from the deck and do Excalibur or, obviously, Tiaramisu.
After that, I started playing it in Yubel, since it was a mainstay on the field that would never get rid, so that I could use it to slowly beat the opponent.
Then, the Rabbit-mania appeared. I'm playing it in tons of places, wherever it has a little of use and I have an engine that can do semi-consistently R3s to go into Zenmaity.

The card itself is a star in Wind-Ups since it can trigger Factory and Magician with ease, comboeing and such.
However, what are the points in this card that makes it so awesome?
Being Wind-Up has some supports, if you want to try something strange splashing them into something else, just be sure to play tour guide since she's indirectly a recruiter for wind-ups with zenmaity.
Being EARTH is also quite awesome, and being LV3 could let you go into Naturia Synchros.
Being SS2, this card survives to pretty much everything.
Since it returnes instead of SS, you can use this card to avoid things like Black Garden, and that's the main reason why I wanted to talk about this in first place.
Using this with black garden could, theorically, be a 2800 Beater that avoids pretty much everything, supportable via horn that is theorically again a 1600 ATK bonus on all the beast monsters. Great deck, I should re-build it for this meta.
Garden slows down opponent's moves, generates tokens to ATK to deal damages to the opponent, and if you summon waghu at full ATK, too, you should have already won the game.
Along with the World Tree you should be able to fully control the field, wanghu controls <1400 ATK monsters, garden reduces their attacks to not let wanghu be destroyed, and world tree destroys anything, maybe even burden of the mighty to control even more opponent's monsters.
Using Horns to gain card advantage and ATK advantage, rabbit that's a 2800 attacker, Evilswarm Thunderbird (OCG) that is a 3900 attacker, that should be good enough with some protection for your field spell, for your wanghu and eventually your world tree.
Good deck is good.

Well, this was quite all, today I'm kinda tired, and I've got to play the piano briefly as an audition for a band, but that's not the problem, lol.
See Ya.

Chaos AAA

I said it in the previous post, AAA has alot of potentials, I fastly (really fastly) did a chaos deck, this is the result

What are the bad points of the deck? Well, I said them all in the other post, discovered nothing else, just slow if you can't draw into nothing good (but are there decks that doesn't have this bad point? LOL), getting AAA isn't that easy, and M7 limit is really bad, can't use that effect in the same turn you Chaos Summoned it, because you can't use Omega's protecting effect on opponent's turn and you need to wait a turn witout being protected. If M7's effect could be used even in opponent's turn, well, that wouldn't be bad.
New good points, I discovered other good points, so I won't talk about all the good points I said in the other post: this combo is really easy to continue, so you can do 3/4 xyz in 2 turns with Kagetokage (translated is "Darkanddark", then "Dark and dark"). M7 can be "rescued" with omega's effect, this does help in continuing the loop, too. 3 Veilers are staples with the new rules on priority, but in here they help alot being light. Evilswarm Mandrago helps alot in XYZing, go into lavalval, send batteryman to the grave. LS Engine helps adding drawing engine, destroying engine and milling engine. I teched in a Reptilianne Vaskii, tribute 2 AAAs and get to destroy a card per turn, not bad. Monk does help alot, love how he can XYZ with just him and a random card.

Don't look too much at the extra deck, I suck at making that, and other than this, I did it fastly.

This was all, I hope I'll do a better list. If so, I'll post it.

Stay tuned.

Finally Dueling Network worked to me///Verz Rabbit Laggia

I tried another time to open DN page, and finally it worked. First thing I did was building my Verz Rabbit Laggia, I tried it only a few times, but it worked godly, first turn Ophion lock my opponent, got to search an infestation to save myself from Dark Holes, Mirror Force and likes.
I think this deck will definitely be good even in the next meta (for OCG, because those verz monsters didn't came out in TCG, sadly, and they won't come out fastly). A lot of control on the opponent and big monsters. Those monsters with that +50 ATK point bonus are good to ride over a lot of opponent's monsters. This was pretty all about the deck, I tried it just two times, not enough for a full review.

Rabbit Verz

Remember my last post, the one about those good verz monsters? Ok, then I builded this, it's pretty good how rabbit works in here.
The deck is pretty simple, let's start this.

Going to eat pizza///Some good Verz

I'm going to eat pizza, it'll need only few minutes, so I'll write a speedy post about something I saw on Dueling Days. This showed me how verz have potentials, other then using them all in a deck, it's possible to use them individually.
Verz Mandrago was the most used in random deck before, it have a cydra-similar effect, it only need you to have 1 less monster (at least) then your opponent. This means you can SS him everytime you could summon a cydra AND when you have 1 less monster then your opponent, pretty simple, right? Sadly it is Bottomlessable, but it it lv4 (for some Verz XYZ, like Ophion, one of the best Verz XYZ) and DARK (for Allure and random DARK support).
Verz Castor, a ninishi for Verz and steelswarm.
Verz Thunderbird, the card I really wanted to talk about, this can dodge pretty everything and became a beater that only photons can get rid of without high level monster or xyz, and even roach would'nt kill this, neither lavalval chain.
Verz Ophion, one of the best xyz ever, if you can use a safe zone on him it is long way better. Continue SS negation of high level monster is lovely, this will stop gorz, or other thing that a roach will. It has way better ATK and DEF stats, meaning that if you can xyz a R4 monster in a Verz deck, please, do this instead of Roach. Searching effect is good too.

After this little review, i can say that Verz are good enough to be played either in themed or not themed deck, they can even play with rabbit and play 3 heliolope and 3 sabersaurus to have the opportunity to summon either an evolzar or ophion to start some control over the opponent.
